Our Newest Member :D

Last Tuesday, we got a new member to our orchestra. He's black and white, has really big ears, has really soft fur, and hops really fast! No, this isn't a person, this is a bunny rabbit! :D

Last Monday, there was a bunny rabbit hopping around the orchestra trailer. A violinist and cellist went out to try and catch it. They didn't. After 20 minutes, animal control came and tried to catch it. They could not, and said that if we caught it, we could keep it as a class pet! :D After animal control left, 3 violinists went out to catch it. Then orchestra was over. 2 of those violinists decided to skip seminary (which was 2nd hour) to try and catch it. (We now have a saying where someone is gone we say they are "Out catching a rabbit," instead of being at seminary. haha!) They STILL couldn't catch it. After school, one of the cellists and a group of kids went out to catch it. They were successful! :D Now we have a class pet. His name is Volfie, short for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Our orchestra teacher is putting an ad in the paper to see if he belongs to anyone.

Hopefully we get to keep him!

Pictures coming soon! :D

January 30th, 2011

Hello! I haven't gotten on in a while! We had a great concert back in November. We are now preparing for our next concert which will be in March. yay! :D

We have lost one member of our orchestra though, Luis. He has moved away, so we are short one Violinist! Orchestra ain't the same. He always begged me to play Jaws on my Cello when it got REALLY quiet during class.

Mrs. Anderson played in the Idaho Falls Symphony last night! She was really good! Me and Ray (the bass player at Skyline) ushered at it, and Ray kept going up behind Mrs. Anderson and scaring her! Nice thing is, WE GET EXTRA CREDIT FOR GOING!! :D yay!!

Orchestra is one of my favorite classes. It always brightens my day. We have so much fun learning about ourselves and the music. Even if after we graduate from high school and we never pick up our instruments again (though I plan on becoming a music teacher, so that means I would be), I'll never forget the great times in orchestra. I hope no one else forgets either.

Nobody will forget, because I will wave photos in their face saying, "HA! REMEMBER THIS?!" :)

See you in a while!
